Picnics and Wineries

This weekend I have a lot going on, but I am trying to keep it under control. Last night we decided to have an indoor picnic since we thought Hurricane Earl would spoil our plans for a minor league baseball game. I had some wine at the house,  and Kevin picked us up some Panera to eat. I do have to say I am in love with Panera's Nutrition Calculator which lets you pick your item, then delete things as you would like it. It lists in detail all the nutrition info, fabulous! I didn't eat that well, but I did track it all at least. I also managed to go for a wonderful run friday morning at the gym. I think it was about 4.67 miles in 50 min, I did the 5k under 35 which is the fastest I've been able to go so far. LOVED my new socks, I'll post a better review of them later this weekend.

I'm not sure why, but whenever I get home from work on a saturday, I binge like mad. I'm starting to think it's partially do to me not really eating while I'm there. I usually just have a snack on saturdays, but lately I've been getting home around 2ish, and have just been starving! Next week I'll actually bring more of a lunch and see if it helps. I also don't think I've been drinking enough water lately which could be why I am sluggish and feeling the need to stuff everything down my throat. Needless to say, I binged when I got home (guess that was dinner?). Kevin and I ran some errands, a return at Best Buy, weather stripping at Home Depot for my doors, and a baby gift for my friend Debbie's shower next weekend. We finished with a quick trip to Coldstone (I got the fat free sinless sweet cream ice cream!(with only reese's pieces)), I wanted to thank him for enduring the baby store without complaining.

Tomorrow will be a ridiculously busy day. Morning bike ride, followed by a quick trip to the store and getting ready to head to the Connecticut wineries with Kevin for the afternoon. We're going to pack a cooler with cheese, crackers, maybe some sandwiches, and go to 4 or 5 wineries for tastings. We had plans to go out a place I had a gift certificate to for dinner, but just realized that it's closed. We're trying to think of something else. Maybe our favorite Hibachi? Monday I am planning on making French toast for breakfast, and meeting my old college roomate for dinner. A food filled weekend, although not the way Labor day typically is with cookouts and whatnot. I'm just trying to balance everything with eating sensible, but still having fun, which as we all know, is so difficult to do. wish me luck (and willpower)....

Just found your blog - we have a lot in common. Goal weight, current weight, tri training...

Hopefully the bike ride went well! I will attempt to wake up in the wee hours tomorrow to fit it in.
